Last year, I was lucky enough to get the best job in the world – photographing 52 Restaurants in 52 Weeks for Tourism Dunedin’s food section.

After a year spent eating my way around Dunedin, 5kg, and a lot of peeks into kitchens, it finished! I was a little sad, as I simply LOVE photographing food….. (and getting to taste the samples!).

So when the lovely folks at Tourism Dunedin called me up with ideas of a new project, I was all in.

This time, it’s called Homegrown.

Carmen Houlahan and I are heading around Dunedin’s artisan food & beverage producers, from cheese to beer, relish to honey. We’re looking for anything that’s yummy and produced right here in Dunedin. So if you know of anyone doing something different, let me know and I’ll see if we can add them to the list!

This week we start with Green Man Breweries – brewed just down on Grange St!
