France – 2010/2011

After our stint in Jersey, we were keen to get in some time on the slopes – so we headed to France for the winter season. We got jobs in a Chalet, as Chef and Hostess (I don’t recommend this to anybody over 22) and headed to the small village of Les Gets, by the Swiss-French Border.

The snow was beautiful, and the village was picturesque, but our guests and living situation were terrible! After two months of dreading work and not getting enough time snowboarding, we decided to move on. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the mountains though, and will remember that experience for the rest of my life – the French cheeses and Charcoutrie, the gorgeous Chalets, and the snow – such an incredible place, and so full of culture. I’d love to go back and be sitting on the other side of the fence as a guest in a luxury Chalet, with Champagne and Canapes!

Damian Hill - Loving all these travel photo’s, looks like you and Aidos are having a blast! It makes realise I haven’t been to many places and makes me want to save a bit more coin and head out into the world. Cheers for showing us these 🙂ReplyCancel
