Anyone who knows a good cheese will be familiar with Tania or Farmhouse Brie – both famous products of the wonderful Evansdale Cheese.
Carmen and I were shown around the amazing cheese factory at Hawksbury Village – a mere 20 minute drive from the city centre – and were amazed at the massive production of our favourite Dunedin Cheeses. Room after room filled with delicious rounds of cheese, waiting to mature and to be sent off to supermarkets & farmer’s markets nationwide.
We happily left with a couple of large samples (which were of course devoured that evening) and some delicious locally made quince paste. Divine.
