Ali & Jamie’s Scottish Savoy Wedding
I first photographed Ali, Jamie & Max last year, when we met at their Tomahawk beach for some family photos.
Ali and Jamie were in the process of organising their long awaited wedding, a joint Scottish and New Zealand affair, with the beautiful bride being from Scotland. It was to be held in Autumn, and when they booked I was very excited about the prospect of finally getting to photograph in the Autumn colour of Dunedin’s town belt.
Being from Tomahawk, Ali and Jamie were keen to get some photos around the area, so I did some door knocking and managed to cement a beautiful stone homestead that Ali was in love with – luckily the farmer was ok with a huge wedding party traipsing through his fields on a Saturday afternoon! Thank you!
After a bungled morning involving missing trousers, forgotten buttonholes and a lot of running around, we finally made it to the gorgeous Savoy, which Ali and her bridesmaids had decorated beautifully with Scottishy Autumny goodness. It was the perfect cosy location on such a cool Autumn day, and the roaring fire created a beautiful atmosphere.
Ali & Jamie were finally married in front of their beautiful son Max, their families and a whole lot of friends. It was a beautiful day.
Ali & Jamie, have an amazing time on honeymoon and congratulations! You guys were awesome.
